Callas' pups June 2009
As I already wrote in a newsarticle, it's become impossible to breed another litter from Daan. Mowgli Proudly Presents Callas, Callas for short, owned by Marjolein Spijker has the honour to keep the kennelname "Mowgli Proudly Presents" alive. She was covered by Balou on the 19th of April and the pups will be expected around the 21st of June.
Although Callas hasn't proved herself like Daan, she has as much natural ability as Daan. Billy is ours so we know what he is capable of. Cristy, Callas' and Billy's sister lives in the Czech Republic and has already earned 3 CACT's on fieldtrials and she also does very wel on shows. Dutchess in England and Chara in Holland also showed us they know they're hunting dogs. All these dogs start hunting once they're let loose in a field. They all know how to use their nose and they can hunt every terrain, no matter how "heavy" it is.
Callas has been to a show twice where she got the grade "very good". Callas has, just like her brothers and sisers and her aunt and uncles HD-A. She's passed the natural ability test fieldwork with maximum points. She's also been on a couple of hunts already, where she does well.
Balou is a dog with loads of natural ability. His movement is absolutely fantastic en only hunts with a high head. Something which is pretty unusual in a Weimaraner. His confirmation is very good, and so are his coat and character. He also has a clean bill of health.
The crossing between Balou and Callas is a linebreeding. We want to set these lines of good hunters for the future. We'll see how the pups will do on the field trials in the future.
Sadly passed away due to a car crash on the 17th of February 2010.
